TI Launches TPS63070 Wide Input Voltage (2V-16V) Buck-Boost Converter-Chargerlab

Texas Instruments has introduced the TPS63070, a high-efficiency, low-quiescent current buck-boost converter designed for demanding applications like industrial metering, camcorders, and personal medical devices.

Key specifications include:

  • Input Voltage: 2.0 V to 16 V
  • Output Voltage Range: 2.5 V to 9 V
  • Efficiency up to 95%
  • Supports both 2A Output in Boost Mode and Buck Mode
  • Quiescent Current: 50 µA
  • Offers advanced features like Overtemperature Protection and Forced Fixed Frequency Operation at 2.4 MHz

With its compact QFN package (2.5 mm x 3 mm), the TPS63070 promises optimal performance across a wide input/output voltage range, making it ideal for battery-powered devices.
